Give the first weeks a clear purpose

Start with the work a new employee needs to perform independently. Organise source material, learning activities and practice around those tasks instead of sending an undifferentiated list of courses.

Plan the handover to the manager

Name the reviewer, the task to observe and the criteria for sign-off. Osmo connects learning delivery and manager verification so the journey includes the work that follows the lesson.

Example: handling a customer request

A new starter studies the procedure and practises a scenario. Their supervisor observes a routine request and checks that an exception is escalated correctly. Learning can be complete while that observation is still pending. This is an illustrative workflow, not a customer result.

Measure the bottleneck

Record a baseline for time to sign-off, outstanding observations and manager effort. Review whether delays come from access, preparation, unclear criteria or reviewer availability before changing the learning plan.

Where does this fit with an HR system?

This page covers learning and workplace readiness. Include your existing HR onboarding process in evaluation, and confirm the identity, people-data and provisioning connections you require. Do not assume that learning software replaces payroll or employment administration.
