Prepare people for the work
Assign the relevant learning, arrange practice and decide which checks will show understanding. Training can include lessons, knowledge checks, sessions and practical activity.
A completed activity shows participation or progress. It does not, by itself, prove that someone can perform a workplace task.
Give practice a useful result
A question or scenario can reveal where a learner needs feedback before applying the idea at work. A trainer or manager can then focus on the gap instead of repeating all the material.
For hands-on tasks, define what should be observed and who is responsible for the workplace check. Record the result and the next action.
Review the whole journey
Look at learning, practice and verification as separate but connected steps. This helps a manager see whether a person needs another lesson, more practice or a review of evidence.
Test a successful and an unsuccessful attempt during evaluation, including who follows up and how the record explains the decision.
